Northeast Horticultural Services Receives 2019 Professional Communications Award from the Tree Care Industry Association for Third Consecutive Year

Northeast Horticultural Services is proud to announce it has been awarded a Professional Communications Award from the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) for the third consecutive year. More than 20 years old, this program honors the firms whose marketing and communication with the public make a significant contribution to the professionalism of the tree care industry.

Northeast Horticultural Services is being recognized for the efforts behind their Newsletter and Blog campaign throughout the year of 2019.  Stacey Marcell, owner of Northeast Horticultural, began writing blog posts in the fall of 2018 with the goal of educating her customers on all the services the company can offer. In order to communicate with her customers, she began sending monthly email newsletters which spotlight timely services, depending on the time of year. To increase value and convenience for her customers, Stacey began filming videos of tips and tricks for tree care, lawn care, organic land care and more. Stacey’s vision to combine blogs with videos and monthly newsletters helps to translate her passion, experience and knowledge for the various topics.

TCIA evaluated each entry on the overall appearance, content quality, adherence to American National Standards Institute and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, and its success in achieving the company’s marketing and communications goals.

“It is a wonderful feeling to win this award. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for trees and after hearing positive feedback from our customers and peers about the value the videos and blogs provide, it makes the extra effort worthwhile.” says Marcell.

TCIA honored Stacey at an awards ceremony at the annual Winter Management Conference, held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on February 10-13, 2020.
